The Bus is working with 5 subscribers now. Controlling of every subscriber is working properly.

Great. Bluetooth and control via touchscreen is working woo.

Much more to come!Brian Perryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07352204378968660431noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2797255578724970863.post-1023801807438130782010-12-07T13:04:00.000-08:002010-12-07T13:05:33.211-08:00Bus working! Yes!Hey dear readers!

The bus system is running fine. There are four modules working together. The signals arrive clear, although the bus is not terminated yet.
Next steps are:
- more modules ;)
- controlling the bus system without a PCBrian Perryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07352204378968660431noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2797255578724970863.post-31262002967633863822010-09-24T13:43:00.000-07:002010-12-07T13:05:33.211-08:00HomebusThe Homebus project is working! Three 82C251 are connected together. They connect the PC via USB/serial converter, a Dell Axim x50v and an Atmel Mega8. All 3 devices are able to communicate at 19200 baud.
Great! More to come..Brian Perryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07352204378968660431noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2797255578724970863.post-21144231326200725642010-09-15T11:39:00.001-07:002010-09-15T11:40:13.999-07:00Rally Master Pro removed!Today Rally Master Pro was removed again from the PlayNow Store. Perhaps several people were experiencing the download issues.

Let's see when it comes back..Brian Perryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07352204378968660431noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2797255578724970863.post-78373195810428938822010-09-13T13:53:00.000-07:002010-09-13T13:57:42.307-07:00Taxi sheet music encrypted ;)By the way, I just found out: the music piece printed on the Chopin taxi is the "Nocturne in B flat minor"

Have fun!
I haven't made a communication get to work due to the lack of a receiver circuit. The output provides a differential signal that seems to be stable enough to get transported over some metres of loose wire. More to come...Brian Perryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07352204378968660431noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2797255578724970863.post-44668845547541408772010-09-11T15:51:00.000-07:002010-09-13T13:58:14.710-07:00Something new to the DIY peopleThe automatic house closes all the windows, switches off all lights and controls the heating.

I found a component for my first prototye of my homebus. I needed to get a driver IC that can transmit serial signals from a microprocessor, e.g. an Atmel Mega8 or Microchip 16F628. I will build up some test circuits with the promising sounding "PCA 82C251 T" bus driver IC. I will let you know what I will find out.

The first aim is to switch around 20 sockets while Mega8 microcontrollers check if the devices are needed. For example the Power LED voltage of the PC is checked. The Power LED can have got three states:
- constant on: socket has to stay switched on (PC in use)
- flashing: socket has to stay switched on (PC in sleep mode)
- off: socket can be disconnected from power network (PC off)

This check saves standby costs. If the PC is going to be needed, you tell the microcontroller which connects the socket and turns on the PC via an optocoupler.

Let see what I can get done..Brian Perryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07352204378968660431noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2797255578724970863.post-21715096785266110812010-08-27T15:58:00.000-07:002010-09-13T13:57:42.308-07:00

On my visit to London i saw this taxi. The "Visit Poland" Chopin taxi. Ok, this is not digital, bit the music is very enlightenment :) I like the pieces of Chopin very much. I think opus 64 and 69 is what probably everybody had heard at least once. If not, you should hear them. They make you relax and burden-free... just give it a try :)Brian Perryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07352204378968660431noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2797255578724970863.post-7239654435382118842010-08-27T07:44:00.000-07:002010-09-13T13:58:23.852-07:00Rally Mater Pro PlayNow History2010:
March
Rally Master Pro should be available in PlayNow according to many news.

April, 22nd
Rally Master Pro is listed in the PlayNow Store together with QuadraPop. Although the description says its size is 32MB the download is 16.8 MB. After a click on "download" and a full process bar the download could not be finished.

April, 26nd
Rally Master Pro is removed from the PlayNow Store.

August, 23rd
By accident I found Rally Master Pro in the store. The same download issue as in April occurs. QuadraPop is no more listed.

What if I update my cellphone? QuadraPop is no more available in Store!
OMG! There is no free game to install in this situation!

Does anyone know if QuadraPop is installed on new Satio or Vivaz phones?Brian Perryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07352204378968660431noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2797255578724970863.post-48833496068664379172010-08-27T07:30:00.000-07:002010-09-13T13:58:23.852-07:00Sony Ericsson Satio Rally Master Pro in PlayNow Store for free!Did you know?
The game "Rally Master Pro" for Sony Ericsson Satio (Symbian 60 5th) is now (again) available in the PlayNow Store for free. Unfortunately the download cancels before completing.

It seems Rally Master Pro replaces QuadraPop, which download worked before and is no more available in the PlayNow store.Brian Perryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07352204378968660431noreply@blogger.com0
